From Wednesday 13th November to Saturday 16th November, Loughborough Fair will take place meaning that there are various road closures around the town centre meaning our buses will need to divert.
Wards End / Bedford Square will be closed to traffic.
Kinchbus 5 and Kinchbus 11 & 12 from Shelthorpe to town will need to turn right from Forest Road on to Browns Lane, left on to Bedford Street (against the usual one way system and past the Noodle Bar) and left again to resume normal route on Woodgate.
We’ll be unable to serve the John Storer House stop.
High Street & Baxter Gate
High Street & Leicester Road will close at 23:00 on Saturday 16th November to allow for safe removal of the fair.
As the fair closes on the evening of 16th November at 11:00pm until 4:00am on Sunday 17th November, Leicester Road, High Street and Baxter Gate will be closed to enable the safe removal of the Fair.
During this time, skylink Derby will be unable to access High Street and will need to divert along Jubilee Way (round by the court). This means we’ll be missing the High Street stop for this period.
The last Kinchbus 9 from Nottingham on Saturday 16th November will need to terminate at the Beacon Bingo stop or Fennel Street
The last Kinchbus 12 will need to divert from Forest Road back up along Park Road, Shelthorpe Road and Leicester Road down to Jubilee Way, past the court and use the Fennel Street stop.
We envisage delays on all services during the fair as we'll see extra customers using all of our services.
